Dear pilgrim,
I´m a doctorate student from Spain, investigating about tourism governance; I ask for collaboration in this survey that will only take you 5 minutes of your time; this thesis aims to put a grain of sand on how to improve, from the public, the tourism industry, especially in those resources that imply a very complex management, because, as it happens with the St James Way, they are located in international national / regional spaces, which would need of joint planning. This is because the protection and management corresponds to different administrative and political levels, with widely divergent competences and financial capacities which are not, in all countries, at the same levels.
Your answer will be of invaluable help to characterize what could be done better in the case of the Camino de Santiago and extrapolate some conclusions to the tourism sector in general.
Moreover, as the road is a life experience that we all want to repeat after you have done it once or at least, we recommend it to friends and family, your contribution certainly bring benefits to others.
If you have gone on pilgrimage along more than a region in Spanish or in more than one country, I would appreciate your response. To answer, skip the experience of the last 100kms (which as you know, are essential for obtaining the “Compostela” and therefore, due to the big amount of pilgrims in the area, it would represent a bias to this questionnaire and provide no key information because they are located in the same region, Galicia).

Thank you very much in advance.
