Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge at IAAPA Summit 2024 + Latin American Amusement Expo

Help us deliver a more sustainable experience!

IAAPA and ACOLAP invite exhibitors to participate by adhering to the event’s Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge.

Participation is easy! We ask each company that is willing to take the pledge to select five or more actions and commit to them for the event.
Send your signed pledge to aebenavent@IAAPA.org by March 22nd to obtain a digital badge in the Connect+ application and at your booth during the event so everyone knows about your commitment to protect our planet!

* 1. Energy conservation

Use either LED or compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).

Power down all displays, monitors and booth lighting each night after show or setup hours. If equipment cannot be shut down, place them in sleep mode during non-expo hours.

Use the provided shuttlebus or share a ride to and from the Convention Center.

* 2. Booth building and graphics

Display elements and graphics that are reused from past events, will be reused at future events, or contain a minimum of 30% recycled content. For metal elements, give preference to aluminum.

Consolidate shipments into a single shipment.

Avoid polystyrene in booth shipment (packing peanuts, styrofoam, or foam plastic).

Use recyclable packaging.

Use the same padding materials, boxes, and crates for move-in and move-out (we will store them for you during the event).

* 3. Waste Management

Properly dispose of accumulated waste in the appropriate waste and recycling containers.

Use cleaning products that are environmentally friendly.

Participate in the exhibit donation program by providing leftover materials not used during the event. Eligible for donation such as plush, games, giveaways, t-shirts, rides, notebooks, and supplies. Notify the organizers if you wish to participate.

Recycle badges and lanyards at the event's end in the bins near the building entrance.

* 4. Marketing materials

Eliminate or reduce literature. Consider using business cards with QR codes, large QR codes printed in the booth, USB drives with preloaded information, or delivering the information via email.

If literature is provided, use 100% recyclable or 50% post-consumer recycled paper.

Reduce the number of giveaways shipped by 10% compared to previous shows.

Provide giveaways that are made of recycled, responsibly grown natural fiber, non-toxic and biodegradable materials.

Scan attendee QR codes instead of collecting business cards.

Avoid the use of disposable serviceware or use compostable and recyclable serviceware.

Avoid excessive food waste.
