Job Description
At Stämm we are expanding our Prototyping team. By meeting science and multi-field cutting-edge technologies we get the opportunity to create a new kind of innovative products in biotechnology. We are looking for a responsive Technician to join our interdisciplinary team, with focus on giving production solutions to the development process of Stämm products.
Stämm’s Product Teams move forward very quickly every week generating tasks such as the design and fabrication of custom pieces or ad-hoc setups to run assays on our Bio Lab, integrate existing technologies to Stämm needs and the design of 3D microfluidic devices, among others.
The Prototyping Department is a key gear to sustain a quick iteration process, bring fresh ideas to the table and translate ideas to fabrication processes and working pieces.
The Technician Stämmer should contribute to give fast and effective solutions through prototyping tools, be able to understand the requirements of the pieces and bring them to reality.

The Technician Stämmer should contribute to give fast and effective solutions through prototyping tools, be able to understand the requirements of the pieces and bring them to reality.
Key responsibilities:
- Manufacture of parts from technical drawings
- Realization of technical drawings from mechanical parts
- Development of Gcodes for CNC devices
- Construction of rapid prototypes
- Execution of the assembly of electromechanical devices
- Execution of the assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
- Technical and general maintenance of the mechanical workshop
- Review, repair and preventive maintenance of machinery
- Monitoring and purchase of the stock of workshop supplies
Required qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Technician/ Electromechanical Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in areas related to engineering and technology
- Advanced command of machine tools (lathe, milling machine)
- Knowledge in 3D printing. Operation and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of IRAM technical drawing standards
- Management of parametric modeling software
- Route programming for CNC machining
- Knowledge of electricity, automation, pneumatics and hydraulics
- English language: Intermediate level
Desired but not required:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical industry
