"Co-creation opportunities and challenges in the idea validation process during the development of new products for the elderly", is a non-profit research project, in which the Federico Santa Maria Technical University (Chile), the University of Concepción (Chile), the University of Valparaíso (Chile), and The Ohio State University (USA) are taking part.

This project is financed by the National Science and Technology Fund (FONDECYT-1201987).

Its goal is to make the creation process of objects, systems, and services for the needs of the elderly, more efficient and inclusive from the Design area.

It seeks, through professional relations and techniques linked to the independent elderly, to detect and recognize requirements, and to contribute with ideas, material experiences, and shape development, in order to resolve the problems identified with daily life for this segment of the population.
